Large 23.2" African Ancestor statue from the IGBO tribe from Nigeria.

Beautifully carved expressive African wooden statue of the Nigerian IGBO tribe. This type of ancestor statue is called Okoroshi and is from the Owerri region in Nigeria. This male statue has a beautiful white patina and is decorated with tribal figures in the face. It is decorated with white, and brown kaolin and has a skirt of cloth.

This statue with human face with coffee bean eyes, round ears and scarifications on the cheaks and forehead. It has a large comb on the head. Very nice white, blue and brown patina .
