Bwami initiation Fable Figure from the LEGA tribe from Congo.

The life of the Lega (Warega) is regulated through the Bwami, to which both men and women belong.

There are seven levels for men and four levels for women. These Figures were used for initiation to the first two levels of the Bwami society.

This Fable Figure has a typical head and is decorated with beautiful tribal figurations all over the body. It has a very nice brown patina.Good condition, possible traces of use.
