Large reliquary Ancestor Spirit Figure from the MUMUYE tribe from Nigeria. An item of great spritual power.

The semi-flexed legs and the shape of the arms in front of the body are typical for these kind of Mumuye ancestor figures. The statue is painted with red kaolin all over the body and has a nice wooden texture.

Good condition, shows some age related usual wear and tear, reparation on the left arm. see pictures.The statue can stand on it's own, but it is better to make a stand for it.
