Beautiful Passport Mask of the IGBO tribe from Nigeria

Beautifully made, with plenty of details, tribal figurations in the face and a comb on the head. It has a beautiful green brownish patina.

This mask is of high quality and was made with the - cire perdue technique- , and is therefore unique in its kind. Beautifully finished off in detail.

These small passport masks were often kept on the owners body or among his possessions and function as portable and personal forms that share the power and protective force of the full-sized mask.
